Some weddings feel like a celebration. Others feel like a love story you get to step inside for a day. Dylan and Blane’s September wedding was exactly that – heartfelt, romantic, and beautifully personal in every possible way.
With 80 of their closest family and friends gathered together, the entire day felt warm, intentional, and full of meaning. Every person there played an important role in their story, and you could feel that connection in every hug, every tear, and every quiet smile exchanged throughout the day.

Blane began her day getting ready in the home of Tanya and Carl, the owners of Sweet Haven Barn. This was especially meaningful because Dylan is their son, which made the whole morning feel even more rooted in family history. Preparing for such an important day in a home already filled with love added a beautiful layer of intimacy to the celebration.

Dylan and Blane chose to say their vows in the yard at Sweet Haven Barn, in the very same spot where Tanya and Carl were married years ago. There was something incredibly special about that connection, like love stories gently overlapping in the same space.
Surrounded by trees, open sky, and the people who matter most, their ceremony felt peaceful and emotional in the best way. It was simple, heartfelt, and unforgettable.

Blane was absolutely stunning. She wore a lace gown that felt romantic and elegant, perfectly suited to the soft glow of the day. Her lace trimmed veil added such a timeless touch and moved beautifully with her throughout the celebration.
During cocktail hour, a tiny ladybug landed on her dress. It was one of those small, unexpected moments that felt almost symbolic. Everyone nearby smiled, and it felt like a gentle little wink from nature.

Cocktail hour included signature drinks that were just as personal as everything else. Blane chose a Lavender Gin Fizz that was light and floral. Dylan’s pick was a Spicy Gin Caesar with a bold savoury kick. Guests loved trying both, and it was such a fun way to showcase their personalities.
Dessert came straight from the heart. The groom’s mom made an Italian inspired sheet pan cake that was shared with everyone. It added such a warm, homemade touch and made the evening feel even more connected to family.

As guests arrived, they were welcomed into a space glowing with candlelight. The barn was transformed into an intimate, moody setting with a subtle vintage feel; timeless, warm, and effortlessly romantic. Flickering candles lined tables, pathways, and cozy corners, casting the kind of golden light that makes everything and everyone look just a little more magical.
Everything felt calm, connected, and full of love.

Later in the evening, Dylan and Blane slipped away to the bridal suite for a few quiet portraits. Golden hour light streamed through the windows and filled the room with the most beautiful warm glow.
It felt like a peaceful pause in the middle of the celebration. Just the two of them, soaking in the moment before heading back to their favourite people.

What stood out most about this wedding was how true it felt to Dylan and Blane. Nothing felt rushed or overdone. Every detail held meaning, and every moment was given space to breathe.
It was a celebration rooted in love, family, and connection. The kind of wedding that reminds you what the day is really about.
Dylan and Blane, thank you for sharing such a beautiful and heartfelt day at Sweet Haven Barn. It was an honour to witness a celebration filled with so much love.
